Have you ever wondered what it takes to keep the busiest general aviation airport in South Carolina operating smoothly?
Ken Koch is the operations manager at the Greenville Downtown Airport. He has worked here since he was a teenager. Ken will talk about operations at GMU and the future planned projects such as the EMAS installation and the runway extension. Don't miss the last meeting before the summer break.
He is a graduate of Bob Jones University, and holds an airport manager Certified Member certification.

Our monthly meetings feature guest speakers: we talk about airplanes and learn from each other in a fun environment.

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month at The Runway Cafe - South Ramp of KGMU.
The club meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM from September through May.
We take a break three months over the summer (June, July, August) and we have a holiday celebration in December.
We are happy to support The Runway Café located next to the GMU Children's Park. They host our meetings and provide us with space and meal service in their newly renovated restaurant.
Yes! Dinner is typically $15 per person.
There is an option to purchase beer and wine at Runway Café.

We meet with a guest speaker to share our experiences monthly. We are expanding our mission in 2024 - 2025 to encourage all members to bring a friend in or to expand and diversify our membership, and offer additional flying or learning opportunities during the year.
We have a leadership team that meets monthly to organize a calendar of topics and guest speakers. We welcome input on speakers, flying or learning opportunities or other help. Please reach out to us!
